The BIG GAME Project Team would like to announce the winners of the competition. We considered both the total amount of stars accumulated throughout the game and the numbers of missions won, and based on these two criteria, we have three winners. These are teams Hazel Tarantulas (FI), Green Elephants (RO), and Black Bobcats (RO). These teams receive a special winner’s badge, which they can access in the game environment.

We would also like to extend an honorable mention to several more teams, which have performed consistently well throughout the game and accumulated a high amount of stars. These are teams Black Storks (RO), Teal Salamanders (IT), Yellow Dolphins (RO), Cyan Finches (EE), White Ants (IT), Cyan Giraffes (FI), Silver Crabs (EE), Amber Hawks (IT), and Silver Hornets (FI).

We thank all the teams for their participation and contributing to the competition. All the participating teams receive the BIG GAME badge as a memento, which they can access from the game environment.

Additionally, we invite teachers to contribute to a digital bank containing educational resources for future use. To do so, please choose one of your teams’ solution to one mission, which, in your view, is exemplary and well-written. Then, together with the students involved, create a short video describing the solution. Please submit the solution and the resulting video to thebiggame.contest@gmail.com. All the videos will be published on the BIG GAME YouTube Channel.

Of the content submitted to the Digital Bank, the Evaluation Committee will choose eight scenarios/videos as examples of good practice (i.e., exemplary efforts that educators can use as inspiration in the future). These will be announced in February 2024.
